5th P-aar-ty

My oldest wanted a Pirate Party for his 5th Birthday. My husband and I made ships out of cardboard. The cake wasn't what I had originally wanted to do, but it turned out cute. I also made some bows for the girl pirates...my son was worried the girls wouldn't like to look like boys.

30th Birthday Cake

I made this cake for a friend's 30th Birthday. The theme was purple unicorns. I really liked making this cake, mainly because it was girly! Minus the "happy birthday" ribbon, the whole cake was edible...the marshmellow fondant turned out very yummy and was super-easy to use. I plan on making more for my next cake~Luke's 2nd Birthday Cake (Alien Invasion). I can't wait.

Cakes for my kids!

This first cake I made for my oldest's 1st Birthday. It gave me so much trouble! Of course, I would have done it a little different if I knew then what I know now.
Ian's 2nd Birthday cake was A LOT easier!!! A whole bunch of 2's and frosting for the writing.
I has So much fun making Ian's 3rd Birthday cake. Although, I was a little worried when I made the red frosting. Thankfully I made the red frosting 2 day's before the party and it turned from dark pink to red! YIPEE. The fondant pieces I made a couple days before the party too, which saved a lot of time. "It's the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. Come inside, it's fun inside"
Ian's 4th Birthday cake was also A lot of fun to make!!! Of course my 4yr old wanted it to explode.

My youngest's 1st Birthday cake proved to be a doozie...Thankfully I've learned my lesson (with my oldest's previous cakes) and I made a "trial run cake" which didn't look like a dino at all!!! With quite a few changes, I was able to make him a decent looking dino for his party :)

Christmas crafts 2010

Last Christmas I decided to make gifts for all my nieces and nephews...all of them!!
As you can see, I was pretty busy.
My nieces got Octopi with hair bows
My younger nephews got silly pillows

The older nephews got scarves and I made some sock monkeys for my friends' kids
I ended up with some left over material from the silly pillows, so I made my kids each a blanket.

I also, made some hats for my boys to wear while doing our "Christmas Cookies Deliveries"

I liked the hats so much I made my niece Audrey one too :P Doesn't she look cute?
